THUR
- DEC 29 HANDS-ON FLOAT DECORATION
This morning we depart before 6:00am for
Pasadena and a day of “pushing petals”.
We’ll assist in the exciting final stages
of preparing the floats for the Tournament
of Roses Parade. This is the 56th year that
the Southern California District of the
Lutheran Laymen’s League has been invited
to enter a float. Eight to ten other floats
will be decorated by our Petal Pushers to
help us pay for our float which is the only
Christian-themed float in the Pasadena Tournament
of Roses Parade! After a day of decorating
and seeing many of the floats close up,
we will have a better understanding of the
magnitude and beauty of this yearly pageant.
We will return to our hotel, knowing that
we have been a part of proclaiming Christ
and glorifying God to an estimated 450 million
people worldwide who will be viewing the
event this year on Monday, January 2nd.
